Today was a bad day. Work was extremely long and the kids were annoying, then after that i had to lifeguard for a ridiculous rental group until almost 7. In addition, I actually was down $1 in poker tonight which really blows considering i was on a good positive streak of not losing money.
Overall, however, the one thing that happened today that pissed me off the most happened on my way home from work. I was listening to G 106.3 on the radio and they were playing the Atari's cover of Don's Henley's Boys of Summer. After the song was over the DJ was talking about how he heard the original version of the song on his mother's "old-lady" station earlier in the week and that it was absolutely awful and that Don Henley's version sucks. He then went on to worship the Ataris cover of the song saying how much better it is. My reaction to this was absolute anger. Although i might not be a huge fan of Don Henley or the Boys of Summer. Both version are almost exactly the same. The Ataris are DEFINITELY not superior in any way shape or form to Don Henley. I would think a DJ on a popular radio station would have more sense than to talk trash about a classic rock legend. Fucking Amateurs.
